New Patients

Below is all the information you need as a new patient. Please print and fill out the documents at the bottom of the page before you arrive.

Welcome to our office. We are glad you have selected us to be part of your health care team. Please read this completely to prepare you for your first appointment.

In our office, we elect to see our new patients for a complete exam prior to scheduling any treatment with the dentist or hygienist. There are many oral conditions that require much different treatments. For example, not all cleanings are the same. Some require much more time and work to complete. We will never know this without the all-important new patient exam visit. At this appointment, we will review your medical history including medications, perform an oral cancer screening, tooth and gum evaluation, TMJ evaluation, occlusal (bite) evaluation, and take any diagnostic records needed including x-rays.

Please have any current x-rays taken at a previous dentist sent to us prior to your appointment. From that information, we can assess your oral health and recommend any treatment or future x-rays that may be required. Please send them to mcphersondental@gmail.com.

We will see new patients with an emergency to evaluate one particular area of concern. To become a regular patient, our new patient comprehensive exam must be completed.

We strive to be on time for your appointment. It is important that you too arrive on time. When one patient is late, every patient after will suffer. You are our guests and we prepare each room specifically depending on your treatment. If for some reason you cannot make your appointment kindly give 24- hour notice.
